Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was so much fun at the Miller home.  Each year gets more and more exciting with kids.  This year we got Wyatt up and fed and waiting for Hannah Claire and Pawpaw to get downstairs.
One little girl was excited to see what Santa had done the night before.
Santa left a baby carriage that opens up for a full playcenter for babies.
HC asked for one thing for Christmas this year, a sleeping beauty baby with a crown.  She was very specific and very consistent about her request.  When Pawpaw came he brought along gifts from Aunt Janet.  Well, the gift from Aunt Janet got torn a little and a baby toe was sticking out of the wrapping paper.  Hannah Claire just knew that it was the sleeping beauty baby with a crown so when we started opening gifts that was the first one she went to.  She was a little disappointed despite being excited about her new baby.
Wyatt dove right in like he had opened gifts many times.  I think his sister gave him some pointers.

Although he got side tracked often by the yumminess of the wrapping paper.
Hannah Claire offered help when she thought Wyatt needed it.  He on the other hand did not think it was necessary.  He is learning very quickly to defend himself.
Hannah Claire was quick to offer her gift unwrapping services to anyone with a gift to be opened.  Pawpaw was happy to accept her services.
There is always a time to stop and pose when you are officially a princess.
HC was super excited about her new laptop from Mawmaw & Pawpaw.
Yet another doll that was not sleeping beauty baby. She was happy but still disappointed.
Nana took Hannah Claire to get Mommy, Daddy & Wyatt Christmas gifts.  She helped Wyatt open his pajamas.  Apparently he was not a fan.  Maybe he just wanted to open it himself.
Did someone say "redneck Christmas"?  No?  Oh, my mistake.  Shane was super excited about his new gun from his Dad.
After all the gifts were open we dove into the stockings.
Hannah Claire had a note from Buddy the Elf in her stocking.  He played a very sneaky trick on her.  Before he left with Santa he hid her last present by "mommy's red high heels".  She immediately headed to my closet and found a pretty Christmas bag from Pawpaw.
She was super excited to find her sleeping beauty baby with a crown!  We finally saw a huge smile on that child's face.  Bless her, that elf played a mean joke.
She quickly discarded the cabbage patch baby.  I mean who needs her when you have a real sleeping beauty baby with a crown?
Pawpaw with his grandbabies.  Lots of smiles!
Our family on Christmas morning 2011.  We are so blessed to not only have each other but to know the real reason we celebrate.  Through all of the fun and excitement we always try to remember Jesus and that He is THE reason for the season!
