Aunt Lorie & HC

Hannah Claire was so happy to see Aunt Lorie at her birthday party.  We dance everyday to the singing monkeys she gave HC.

Aunt Lorie told HC to stop rubbing those eyes and smile...

HC had other plans...

Lovin on Nana

Hannah Claire had to get some kissing in on Nana before she had to head back home.  Notice "The Look".

She then dives right on in.

I love this picture!!!

Wagon Fun

Hannah Claire got a wagon for her birthday.  She went for her first ride after the birthday party.  She LOVES it!

Faster Nana...

Clapping for Aunt Lorie.  She must be a good wagon puller!

Hanging With Mawmaw & Pawpaw

After things settled down some after the birthday party, HC spent some qt with Mawmaw & Pawpaw.  She loves them so much and always has so much fun with them.

I just love this look on her face.  Who knows what warranted this look.

Pre-Birthday Gift

The day before Hannah Claire's birthday we took some cupcakes to school for the kiddos to enjoy.  They had a great time.  We forgot the camera so we don't have any pictures.  If we can get some from school I will share because they were super cute!  When we got home there was a package for HC at the door.  We decided to let her go ahead and open it instead of waiting until the party.  (Everyone know she had plenty to open on Saturday at the party!!!)  We opened the package and saw it was our super sweet friends the Coverts!  They are always so thoughtful and we miss them like crazy!!!

It was Noah's Ark - Little People.  We have had so much fun with it already.  Thank you Coverts!  HC loves it.  I know this because I am constantly stepping on Noah or zebra or elephant or any of the animals that are now all over the house!

HC & Daddy's Game

Hannah Claire loves to get surprised. The more sudden the better. She squeals, laughs and kicks. Daddy gets her in the highchair, on the changing pad, really wherever he has the opportunity. It just doesn't get old for her. Daddy got her the other night in her highchair. I was late getting the camera so they had already been playing when I started. The anticipation is what gets her the most.

BOO!

Daddy gets tickled too. We all love it!

Where did Daddy go?

There he is!

Mommy's Little Helper

Hannah Claire is already trying to give Mommy some much needed pointers in the kitchen.  Another year or two and I will just let her cook for us.  Then maybe I can stay up-to-date on the blog!

"Who's watching us?"

"It needs a little something."

It Was Bound to Happen

Spring Festival at Mt Laurel

Back in April we went out to Mt Laurel to see Shane's old boss and visit their Spring Festival.  We had a great time.  It had been a while since we had seen Richard and he had never met HC.  Since Hannah Claire has an all out L-O-V-E for dogs, she was pumped to see Richard's two huge sheep dogs.  We stayed on the outside of the fence because as I said they are huge!!!  HC loved them and wanted to get over to them and pet on them.  Here is a shot of one of them saying hello to HC.  They are wild and crazy too.

Mt Laurel is so beautiful and Richard has such a beautiful yard, we tried to get some pictures.  HC was not up for the photo op.  These were the best we could get.  Not really framable.

In the little village they had a very cute festival going on.  We even got to see Snow White.  Not knowing how it would go we gave it a whirl.  HC really liked her.

1st Birthday Party

Saturday was a very special day for our family.  Not only did we celebrate Hannah Claire's first birthday we watched her take her first steps.  She has been getting very close but she would always fall forward (because she wanted to run, not walk).  She finally found her balance on her big day.  So we can walk, we are one and we still have no teeth!  We kicked the party off around 10am  so we could work around family traveling and HC's naps.  It worked out perfect.  Everyone arrived and HC wanted to show her newly learned skills.  She would go between two of us and then clap and look around to make sure everyone was watching.  Yes, we have a ham on our hands.

"You getting this Daddy?"

A little decoration.

HC did pretty well at opening her gifts with a little help from Mommy.  Here she is checking out her new bath mitt.  It is Tigger, which is her absolute favorite right now.

As I said before she is a ham.  She wanted to show off her new toys.

I just love this picture.  It shows how much fun she had.  Here she had climbed into her new pool.  I see lots of fun times in this over the next few months.

One of HC's new toys was a huge hit with Lillian.  She was very interested in the storybook.

After gifts we did the cake so we could get it in before HC's naptime.

She enjoyed everyone singing to her.

She did not enjoy the "Birthday Girl" hat.  We expected this but I really wanted her to wear a hat so we gave it a try.  Here are the results.

She hated it!!!  We had high hopes for the smash cake.  We had taken cupcakes to school the day before and HC dove in face first.  She had it all over her face.  Well, this one did not go as well.  She gave it a try and then she was done.  Diva!

We wrapped up the party with a show put on by Miss Lillian.  She got tickled at Shane.  I wish we had video of it because she was belly laughing.  It was so sweet.

Thank you to everyone who made Hannah Claire's first birthday so special!!!

P.S.  I'm not sure if you are suppose to do a p.s. on a blog but I did anyways.  I have so many more pictures.  I will try to put more up in the upcoming evenings.  As you know if you follow our blog I have a hard time narrowing down pictures.  They are all just so cute with HC in them! :)

1 Year Ago Today

It is so amazing to me that at this time last year we were in the hospital holding our new baby girl.  She had been in this world for almost exactly one hour.  I remember it like it was yesterday.  How could I forget one of the best days of my life.  We have come so far in just one year.  I remember when I could sit on the couch and hold my baby girl.  Now she wants down to crawl, cruise or even take a few steps (which she did today!).  She has gone from baby to toddler and it is so exciting and so sad at the same time.  Where is my baby girl?  I'm so very proud of her and her new accomplishments everyday.  I'm amazed at how smart she is.  The joy that Hannah Claire has is contagious, even on the worst day she can easily bring a smile to our faces.  Each and every day I try to take time to savor the current stage because tomorrow could be a whole new one.  I pray that God will guide us in raising Hannah Claire to live for Him.  I pray that we listen to His guidance and set a good example for HC.  I pray that Hannah Claire will have a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an example to others.

Thank you to everyone that sent sweet birthday wishes to Hannah Claire on her 1st birthday.  We are truly blessed by amazing family and friends.  We love you all and thank you for love y'all have for our little girl.  We took tons of pictures from the party today and I will try to get some up asap!

HC's Favorite Game

For some reason Hannah Claire has always loved to "get Mommy".  You never know just when the mood will strike her.  It is hilarious when it does though.  She thinks it is hysterical!

I LOVE those sloppy kisses (and that silly face)!!!
