After some fun around the house Christmas morning we loaded up and headed to Florence. We had originally planned to do Christmas with Nana and Pappy the day after Christmas but a special friend of ours, Mike Reed, lost his 12 year battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma. The celebration of his life was the day after Christmas and there was no way we were going to miss the opportunity to show our love for such a strong fighter and outspoken man of God. So we headed out as early as we could so that we could do our Christmas with Nana and Pappy when we got to their house before the entire Smith clan arrived. The kids got some snoozing in on the way and were ready to go once we arrived.

Nana and Uncle Bobby got a kick out of Nana's Christmas present. In case you can't read it, it says "Official Member of the Redneck Yacht Club".
All gifts were opened except one. Hannah Claire had to go on a scavenger hunt to find her final present. The first clue took her to the bathroom.
She found her next clue in Nana's room.
That clue led her down to the pier where she found her first big clue as to what the gift was.
Back to the house for another clue.
That bag lead her to the garage for the big reveal.
Her very first two wheeler! She was super excited!
Pappy offered a little help getting it started.
HC gave Nana some extra special love after that. She is one blessed little girl, for sure.
