Bookworm

Hannah Claire loves to read. She will now read aloud to us. It is mostly jabber with a few words we know thrown in there. It is so cute. She brought this Clifford book home from school the other day. We are not sure why or who gave her class books but they did and she LOVES it! As we were trying to get ready for school this is what I have to deal with. I mean I can understand if she is a teenager and defiant and reading a great book, but already?
She is so proud of herself and thinks she is so funny!

Friends and Football

The weekend of the Bama vs. Florida game was a very exciting weekend for us. We welcomed the Karr's in from West Virginia. This was the first time Hannah Claire and A.J. got to meet. They were a little skeptical at first but ended up having fun together. Aaron, JC and AJ arrived on Friday evening. HC and AJ got a few minutes to play together.
Sweet AJ is just learning to walk so he is a little wobbly.
Of course miss priss has something to say about everything.
I could say she was showing him how to do it but I think she was bossing him around. I have no clue where she gets that? :)
They did have some sweet moments too.
JC, AJ & HC. I think I need some initials!
JC's roommate from her freshman year of college lives in our neighborhood so she and her family came over for some Dreamland ribs. Haley has two kids that HC loved playing with. She was a little timid at first but before they left she was right in the middle having a blast!
These Bama kids look like they have been friends forever.
We headed out early Saturday morning for Tuscaloosa! Once we got settled in for the day, we gave Pappy his birthday present. Of course he got some help from his little Petey Bug.
HC & AJ have the same shirt so we had to have a little photo session. They are about the cutest things ever!
Daddy was not happy but AJ is already making his move. As you may notice, HC didn't mind at all.
One of Hannah Claire's favorite things to do while tailgating is to go see Big Al. Not so much the real Big Al but the inflatable Big Al's. Pappy is her go to person to make the rounds through the motor home parking lot. We had a serious issue when they spotted one that had been blown over. No fear, Pappy & Petey Bug to the rescue!
Hannah Claire was all about sharing her love for Big Al with AJ.
The little stinker also swiped my Dr. Pepper. This kid loves a "sup".
Mrs. Barbara, JC's mom, came and kept the kids so that the adults could attend the game. It was an awesome game with a final score of 31-6 . Afterwards we finally got an adult picture! Roll Tide!

It's That Time Again...

Alabama Football! We kicked off the season with a home game against San Jose State. It was a great day for some tailgating in Tuscaloosa! Hannah Claire got to try out her new Alabama chair, the perfect spot for some gummies.
Nana found some "A" stickers for Hannah Claire. She was a huge fan and used the entire package in about two seconds flat.
HC was good about sharing the stickers with Nana.
Of course she put one on top of her boo boo like a bandaid. Pappy came to the rescue for removal.
"What you talkin bout?"
These sweet Bama girls are ready for some football!
I'm pretty sure that these two were up to somthing. T.R.O.U.B.L.E.
We had some visitors tailgate with us including Uncle Bobby and Jon. It is always nice to have good friends and family spend the day with us. Uncle Bobby show HC how to play cornhole.
Hannah Claire gave it her best try.
Our smart girl decided her odds were better if she scooted up a wee bit.
I guess she won at cornhole so the football flag needed a high five.
We went by the quad before the game. We took the necessary picture by Denny Chimes. Jon & Daddy went first.
Now for the Millers. HC never knew we were at the quad. She fought a nap all day but the ride in the stroller was too much for her.
Come game time she was ready, just like the Tide!
This is the life, kicked back watching Bama on a beautiful Saturday!
Roll Tide!
She did have on her cheerleading outfit so she had to do some cheering.
I'm pretty sure she was looking for Big Al. That is what she did most of the game.
Nana & Pappy packed a few surprises. Nothing like a sucker to get a tired girl through a late game.
