14 Months

Man time is flying by!  Hannah Claire is so active now days. She keeps us on our toes.  She loves to sit with Mommy in the morning and put on her makeup.  She will take a cotton ball and wipe her forehead and then cut her eyes over and grin.  She gets tickled when I touch her nose with my blush brush.  She loves to brush her teeth.  What this means is she holds her toothbrush in her mouth.  Some of her favorite things to say...mom, dad, thank you, hey, it's good, tigger, nana, mawmaw, pawpaw.  She loves to play in her kitchen and to dance.  If any sort of music starts Hannah Claire immediately stops what she is doing and starts dancing.  It is hilarious!  Sometimes she dances without even hearing any music.  She is also big on getting wet diapers out of the trash can.  We are working on this.  Probably her favorite spot in the house is the pantry.  Sometimes she wants food but usually she just wants to move things around and climb on boxes to get things off of the bottom shelf.  We love her more and more every day.  If that is possible?!

Clowning Around

There is lots of silliness around our house these days.  Everyday Hannah Claire is doing new things and keeping us on our toes.  Here she is attacking Mommy on the couch.

Anything is fair game these days.  Daddy walked away for a second and HC made her mad dash to hit as many keys as possible before he came back.

Nana gave Hannah Claire a purple bin to put her toys in.  She had a better idea.

HC is just plain silly.  She loves sitting in her push cart now and walking it around.  For some reason this is hilarious to her.  Of course when she laughs so do we.  We can't resist.

I just loved this picture.  HC has on her tank top we brought her from Hawaii.  She now opens her drawer and get her own shoes out so she picked up her furry crocs.  I see we have lots of mismatching to look forward to in the future.

On a daily basis Hannah Claire plays in the pantry.  This really wasn't a problem until now.  She has learned how to open boxes.  As you can see below she got a box of Wheat Thins off of the shelf and opened them.  She then tried it.  You see they were Parmesan Basil flavored and she did not care for them at all.  That lead to her spitting it all over the floor.  Nice!  She now has to more supervised in her pantry play time.
Back in April Pappy gave HC her very own baby doll stroller.  It is now one of her favorite toys.  She pushes it all over the place.  Most of the time it is empty but occasionally she will give a toy a ride.  On this day her most favorite buddy of all, Tigger, got to go for a ride.

I love that sock monkey is hanging out in the rocking chair in the background.
Sometimes we can get her to slow down and hang out for minute.  Thank you Baby Einstein/Praise Baby.

Time for the Big Pool

On the 4th we went to spend some time with some great friend's of ours.  They have 3 little girls and a little boy on the way.  We had so much fun hanging out, grilling and watching some fireworks with them.  They have a "big pool".  Hannah Claire had not been in a big pool yet.  She really loved it!  It was a little cold so we eased in.

She was a little unsure at first but her ducky float kept her company as she trolled around the pool.  She loved to kick her feet and her favorite was for Mommy & Daddy to push her back and forth between us.

They also had a little pool for their youngest.  Of course when you have the big pool you want to play in the little inflatable.

We had to do some sunning too.

Happy Independence Day

We kicked off Independence Day on Wednesday night at our church.  Every year we have a huge worship service followed by fireworks on the lawn.  Each year we are getting better at it.  This year we picked up a pizza and did some picnicing before hand.  We all had so much fun!  We however did not get a good family picture.

We were not sure how HC would handle the fireworks.  We took our spot on the blanket and prepared for the start.

She LOVED them!  She immediately started clapping.

"Wow, look at that."

We had some good friends there.  Reese came to hang out and watch the fireworks with HC.  As you can see HC was checking her out.

Photo-op...HC was in her wagon during some of the show.

But she was distracted for too long.  After all there was a fabulous show behind her.

Shane's boss and his family joined us for the festivities.  They are so sweet and the kids had so much fun.

There were lots of kids hanging out with us.  We tried to get a picture.  This was the best we could do.

Miller Family Fun

Hannah Claire got spend some time with her Mawmaw and Pawpaw.  She always has so much fun with them.  She doesn't get spoiled at all.  :-)

She has already learned what the wallet is and that there is money in there.  She also realizes that her grandmothers often give her what is in them.

Normally HC is a Mawmaw's girl.  Not this trip, she was all about Pawpaw.  We are quickly learning that she is very picky and that changes often and even quickly.  She does this to people, food, toys, you name it.

I'm not sure what this face is about?

Randomness

I guess this is common for toddlers?

How sweet is that swimsuit!

I know I have posted plenty of pictures from the baby pool, but since this is the Miller Family blog I reserve the right to post as many as I want.  :-)  I just thought this was a good family picture and wanted to share.
Silly face!!!

Our dogs have not been on the blog lately.  Hannah Claire loves the dogs.  You can say "want to go see the doggies" and she goes straight to the basement door.  Now getting a picture of them together is probably not going to happen.  So I thought I would share a little doggie love.  Sweet Allie is protective of HC and loves to lick her from head to toe.  HC doesn't mind at all.  She does close her eyes when she sees Allie coming.

Junior loves HC but not the camera.  When he sees the camera he goes into hiding.  He is really good with HC and even tolerates her "petting".  She is usually pretty good but sometimes gets a little rough with the pats.

The dogs don't get the attention they used to but they still get loved on often.  They really are sweet dogs!

Stay In It!

As many of you probably already know, Shane and I are huge Rick and Bubba fans.  So for Shane's birthday we went to watch the show.  This was not an easy feat.  We had to get the "Golden Tickets" in January.  We were super excited and super exhausted.  The night before we had date night and saw Sugarland in concert.  (That was more of a me thing, but Shane loved it too).  Having stayed out later than we ever do now-a-days, the alarm went off super early.  We arrived at the studio and met some friends that were sharing the experience with us, Cile, Kara and Dan.  Somehow I didn't get a single picture of them.  We had lots of fun.  Rick was out of town so we didn't get to meet him.  The guys were super nice and we had lots of fun!

During a commercial The Real Greg Burgess played a drum solo for us.  I must admit, I was not very excited when they announced he was coming to the show to replace Don Juan, but he is my favorite personality now.

We did get a few photo ops.  Us with Bubba.

And us with Speedy.

Another Week in Paradise

You know you are snoozing when your body is all contorted, you are laying on Tigger, the shirt is up and you have one pacy in the mouth and one in your hand.  The flash didn't faze her either!

Round two of the baby pool.  We filled it up and let the sun work its magic before we got in.  It made a world of difference.

She wasn't too sure at first, hence the death grip.

We warmed up quickly though.

The splashing soon took over and I stepped out of the way.

Sometimes you get a little too much on the face.

But that doesn't slow Hannah  Claire down.

Pause and smile for the camera.

After we came in we had Tivo'ed the CMT music awards.  As I have said before HC is really into dancing right now.  This was  a dream come true for her.  She stood right in front of the tv and broke it down.  (She usually doesn't even notice the tv if it is on.)  She has also started singing along with the radio occasionally.  This consists of her jabbering away.  Her favorites, Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney.  She is our child.
