April Beach Trip with Nana and Pappy

We were so blessed to get to head down to Destin for a long weekend with Nana & Pappy to celebrate the end of another tax season!  We arrived just before dinner on Thursday night so we went straight to the campground to meet up with Nana and Pappy.  Since we were clean and it was prime picture taking time we got a few pictures on the beach.  Neither kid wanted to touch the sand so we had to put down a towel.
Do you see the look from Hannah Claire?  Okay, I have proof that she can and will give looks to anyone that annoys her.  Now you see what we are dealing with.  She is only three, what is it going to be like when she is 13?  Pray for us. :)
I don't think they both smiled in one single picture.
I got a little loving from my beach baby.
Dad can always get some laughs.
Nana with her grandbabies!
She was a little unsure but Pappy can get that kid to do anything.

Wyatt is 10 Months Old

Once again I am way behind on blogging about what is happening at the Miller home (and trust me there is a lot happening over here).  Since this is the only documentation of our family I will work at catching up as soon as I can.  In the mean time I will write about Wyatt being 10 months old even though in real time he is already 13 months!  Man time slips away so fast.   I feel like I repeat myself every month but it is so true, Wyatt brings so much happiness and joy to our family.  He is always smiling and giving us that laugh.  If you have never heard it, he gives a full belly chuckle that sounds much like a courtesy laugh.  I think we may have another jokester on our hands.
Hannah Claire and Wyatt are really enjoying playing with one another.  They love on each other so much!
This little fella is a handful!  He keeps mommy and daddy on our toes, all of the time.
There is always silliness in our home from everyone.
These two handsome boys have stolen my heart.
Mommy and her silly boy (look at that chubby belly peeking out).

Happy Saturday

Nothing says yeah it's the weekend like pinning your big sister on the ground and sitting on her face.  Oh, this doesn't happen at every house?  She lets him get away with anything.  He can pull her hair with all of his might and she will just laugh.  If anyone else had done this she would cry.  Just sayin.
Since Wyatt was working on his walking skills we brought out the push cart.  He loved it!  Especially when he could push HC around the house.
Saturday afternoon we hit up A Play Place for some birthday party action.  One of Hannah Claire's best little buddies was celebrating her 4th birthday.  Lots of the friends were there and they had so much fun!
I'm not sure the moms had fun but the kids were loving it!
Wyatt even joined in on the fun.  Two of his little buddies were there but they were both sleeping.
Can you see it?  That would be HC eating birthday cake!  Either she was just really hungry, gave in to peer pressure or didn't realize what she was eating.  It didn't last long but she did eat a few bites and I have proof.

Family Time

It seems like we just run, run, run these days so when we get time to hang out at the house we make the most of it.
This little fella loves to pin his sister down and give some smooches.
Where did she go?  Where did he go?
Dad just hanging out.

Easter 2012

The Easter bunny left Wyatt and Hannah Claire both a basket filled with all sorts of goodies.  They both even had a toy that didn't fit in the their baskets.
Hannah Claire may be end up being like her mom before it is all said and done.  She got up but only made it to the top of the stairs where she laid down for a rest.
Once we got her moving she saw the baskets and was super excited!
Wyatt took no time making his way over to his basket.
Both kids loved their Dr. Seuss books.
We get this look from Wyatt all the time.  Little man!
I love this picture!  They both look shocked.  Who knows what was actually happening.
So much for getting a cute Easter morning picture.
Next it was time to find all the eggs that had been hidden.  HC loved it but Wyatt was not that concerned about our silly games.
We do participate in the fun of holidays but we try our best to remember the real reason for our celebration.  We sat down to read the resurrection from the Bible.  After that Hannah Claire and I made some resurrection rolls.  It was fun but we may have been a little early.  When we discussed the empty tomb following our rolls experiment, HC would say "when they opened the tomb the marshmallow was gone".  Maybe next year.
We did enjoy some beautiful tulips (my favorite) thanks to Shane!
Joe Bill came over for a visit that afternoon.  It was great since it was the first time he and Wyatt had met.  They hit it off immediately.
Hannah Claire could not miss out on some loving.
Joe Bill even hung around to watch some serious egg hunting.  We missed Mawmaw Jeannie but we did enjoy having him here.

The egg hunting got pretty intense around our house and everyone was involved, including the youngest.
There might have been some taunting when eggs were found.
There might have been some pouting when Mom beat someone to an egg.
There was plenty of running to find the next egg.
While we enjoy the fun of the holidays we are so very thankful for the ultimate sacrifice that was made for all of us.  We celebrate because no tomb could hold our Savior!  Do you know Him?  He knows you.  He loves you.  He paid the ultimate price for our sins.
