Showered with Love

I'm behind on updating the website.  There is so much to share.  I will start with the shower that Shane's family threw for us.  We were so blessed to see so many friends and family that we don't get to see that often.  We had a great time!  Thanks to Janet, Annette, Linda and Laura for all of their hard work in hosting the shower for us.  We love you guys and truly appreciate all you did to make the shower so wonderful.  Here are some of the snapshots from the shower:
Here is the adorable gift table.  How cute was the tree!!!  It was all decked out in baby stuff.
Here is a shot of the excited Mawmaw & Pawpaw!
This is a picture of one of the sweetest gifts Hannah Claire has received.  Her Uncle Tyler got her her first Bible.  It even has her name on it.  He picked it out himself.  How thoughtful.  We love you Tyler and are so proud of you.
Here is the yummy part of the day.  How pretty was this cake!  It tasted as good as it looked too.

To everyone at the shower we thank you so much for your love and kindness.  We don't get to see you guys much but we treasure the times we do.

What a Day!

We had such big plans for Saturday.  I had my list ready so I could check off items that got done.  It has seemed lately that I can never finish any one task.  Something always comes up.  Shane had a flat tire on Friday night.  He was able to fix it with Fix-A-Flat but he wanted to take it in Saturday morning to get checked out.  One of his friends picked him up and they went for a jog.  After that they picked up Sean's wife and little girl.  I was planning to meet them at Chick-fil-A for a little breakfast and then begin our day of errands.  This was the plan.

On my way to meet everyone at Chick-fil-A I got rear-ended.  Ironically the lady that hit me was on her way to a baby shower.  There was a policeman parked right down the road.  We thought he would just come right over.  We were wrong.  He drove off.  We had to call and he was sent back to us.  He thought we were just meeting on the side of a busy road?  Not real sure why we would do that but okay.  I gave Shane a call to let them know I would be delayed.  He of course being his sweet self said they were on their way to the scene.  Me being me said okay but get me a biscuit.  A pregnant woman has to eat!  They came on without the biscuit.  Once we filled out the paperwork and stuff we left and headed for breaskfast, finally!!!  I'm starving by this point and just want to eat.

On the way I called my doctor's office to see if there was anything I should be watching for.  We were able to finish breakfast when the on-call nurse called back.  They wanted me to come in for a check just to make sure the baby was fine.  She said and I quote, "it won't take long, I will let them know you are on your way".   So we left from there, picked up Shane's car (that is still being serviced & tires checked), left my car and headed to the hospital.  We walk right in and the nurse takes us straight back.  Okay this is going to go smoothly, we are thinking.  Wrong again!  They hooked me up to the fetal monitor and told me to lay down and relax.  We would monitor HC for an hour and make sure things were fine.  We were thinking an hour?  That long?  Well, two hours later they finally came in and said things were fine but we need to check the placenta.  So off to ultrasound we go.  We did get to see our little, I mean big girl again.  She weighed 6lbs. 8ozs. now.  Now I know why I wanted that biscuit so badly.  Everything looked fine in the ultrasound so back to or room to wait for the doctor to okay our leave.

We have now been there for 3 hours.  We finally got to leave.  Time for lunch!  You know the women in this family have to eat.  After that we came home and did a few things around the house since none of our errands got taken care of and we were exhausted.  We are so thankful that both of us are okay.  Here is a picture of the back of my car.

Let the Fun Begin

We started our weekly appointments this morning. HC is doing great. She is weighing in at 5lbs and 15ozs. Our doctor said if she goes to her due date she will be around a 9lb baby! That's right, a 9lb baby. Her head is also measuring at 39 weeks. We will be at 35 weeks on Friday. Our little girl is going to be a genious with a noggin that big! At least that is what I'm telling myself so I will not think so much about the delivery. She has been very active the last few days. I guess she is running out of room in there. We get to watch her move around everyday. What a blessing!

On a bright note, the crib is suppose to be here by next week!!! We also got into daycare last week!!! Two answered prayers. We are still waiting on the dresser but we will take what we can get. We will keep you guys posted.
