We kicked off our Thanksgiving weekend on Wednesday with a special lunch at school with Hannah Claire and her friends and teachers.
Lunch was in Kosmic so as soon as we were done eating the kids started running. It is so fun to watch them together. These kids are so close. Most of them have been together since they were babies.
Ms. Misty has been there with them since they were in the Toddler class. They all love Ms. Misty, especially Hannah Claire.
Later that afternoon Hannah Claire had to make a quick trip to the doctor. These ears are too much! She was obviously a good girl because she got not one, not two but three stickers!
Wednesday afternoon we headed to Scottsboro to spend some time with Pawpaw. We had some yummy food and spent some quality time together. It will never be the same with Mawmaw in heaven but we are learning to make the most of what we have and rejoice that she is enjoying the ultimate Thanksgiving, with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
You better watch out, Hannah Claire has a tiara and she is not afraid to use it.
I think these two were up to something. They are always up to something.
Somehow we made an entire trip to Florence and took zero pictures. We did have a great Thanksgiving dinner at Granny Sue & Papa John's house with all of the crazy Smiths. Even all four great-grandchildren were there. Again, I can't believe we did not get a single picture. Friday morning Nana and I hit up a few sales, by far the fastest Black Friday shopping we have ever done, but we were extremely productive. Go us! Shane even got out and hit a few sales. Although 2011 has been a difficult year that we could have never anticipated, we have so much to be thankful for. Most of all we are thankful for our relationship with Jesus and the knowledge that we will join Him and Mawmaw one day in a place that is far better than we can ever imagine. Do you know Him? You should! I can't imagine life any other way. The peace that comes through Christ is a peace that allows us to live in this crazy world and not go crazy ourselves. It is the peace that allowed us to accept the fact that Mawmaw had a relationship with Christ and is a much better place. I can't imagine loosing someone and not knowing where their eternity will be. Trust Him. Lean on Him. Most importantly have a relationship with Him. It will be the best decision you ever made.
