Nana had to work at a client's office so she came down the day before and spent some time with us. It was great since we don't get to see her much during tax season. The kids were both excited to see her (as was I). We hit up the local spring carnival. It was tons of fun. Hannah Claire and Shane got quite the workout hiking up the slide stairs. I was so thankful that Shane got the armband when I realized how much she loved the big slide.
HC took a spin on the gator roller coaster. She was all excited at first.
That excitement faded quickly once the bumpy ride started. She had a death grip on the bar and got very serious. I'm pretty sure there were tears involved and a protective Nana telling the operator guy that he would need to stop the right ASAP. Nana means business when her girl has tears.
It took a few minutes but she forgot about the scary roller coaster and was on to the other rides.
Would you like to know what a handsome boy does while his sister plays? He grins at his Mom!
He also blows bubbles.
This picture tells so many stories from the day. First Hannah Claire had a blast! Two, the lady in the background has zero qualms about smoking it up right by the kiddie ride. Three, the gate, oh the gate. You see there is an entrance and an exit gate, or there is suppose to be. We were reprimanded by the smoking lady in the background for entering the exit. Well, had she not been so busy smoking she might have notice that both gates said entrance. Thankfully Shane was only mildly abrupt with the lady but she did provide a good laugh for us the rest of the day.
Who needs a silly carnival ride when you can play with your foot?
Time to cool down.
More fun on the slide!
After several trips up and down the slide, Dad decided Wyatt needed to go for a ride. I'm not sure if you can see his hair but it is standing straight up. He loved it! Plus Hannah Claire loved going it alone.
We had a blast spending the day together and getting some time with Nana!
