We decided to make a early Saturday morning trip over to see Santa. I thought if we got there early we would beat the crowd. Boy was I wrong! Thankfully the elves were on top of their game. We passed the long line that was waiting for Santa to arrive and went to do a little shopping we were planning to do. When we came back the big guy was working and the line didn't look too bad. Well, when we walked up the elf at the end of the line took our name and handed us a pager. Yes, you heard me, a pager for the Santa line! Crazy, yes, genius, absolutely! We took our pager and went to the potty and got the kids ready for their time with the big guy. As soon as we finished our pager went off and we quickly returned to stand in line. Once you are paged to return the line only takes about 5-10 minutes. We had pumped Hannah Claire up about being the big sister and showing Wyatt how to do it. She stepped up and did great! We had no tears this year at all! Hannah Claire even told Santa she wanted a Sleeping Beauty baby with a crown. Mission accomplished!
Later that day we hit the local Christmas parade with some friends. For some reason winter weather hit and it was COLD. The kids didn't care. Our poor Auburn friends had to sacrifice though and allow their little one wear my houndstooth scarf to wrap around her head. The cold weather snuck up on us.
Once the parade started the kids quickly ditched the blanket and hit the curb.
Wyatt didn't get to see much of the parade since he was in his pumpkin seat with a blanket over it. He had the warmest seat in the house.
Candy please!
The girls got a big wave from Santa at the end of the parade.
