My work offers 12 weeks off for maternity leave. What they mean is you can take it, we aren't going to pay you, but you can take it. Well, that is exactly what I did. I spent 12 weeks with Hannah Claire and I did not want to miss the opportunity to do the same with Wyatt. It really is a great time to spend with him and I loved every second of it. One draw back was that we had to start paying for daycare a couple of weeks before I went back to work. I decided to take him a few days for a few hours to let him get used to it and for me to get a few things done too. Hannah Claire was very excited that her "brodie" was going to be at school with her.
My little man was happy as always to be venturing out for the day. Just look at that dimple!!! His first day was August 29th.
Of course it is never easy to leave your baby somewhere for the first time but we both did well. He was only there for a several hours and he did great.
