Smith Family Christmas 2010

After a very cautious trip to Florence because of the snow, we finally arrived at Granny Sue & Pawpaw John's. The roads were a little rough around Moulton but not terrible. Once we arrived Hannah Claire and Peanut got to reconnect. She was not as scared of him this trip.
We had some delicious food, as always. Then we got ready for some dirty santa. It can get pretty ruthless with our family. Hannah Claire got in on the action by passing out numbers to everyone.
While all the adults got their game faces on, the youngest members of the family got to open their gifts from Granny Sue & Pawpaw John. This was the first time Hannah Claire and Lainey have been able to really play together. It is so much fun to watch them play together.
Of course bossy is trying to give directions.
Lainey had zero interest in how HC wanted to play. She had her own plans.
Nooo, I didn't take Lainey's camera to play with.
After the competitiveness was over Aunt Lorie and HC got to cutting up. Peanut wanted in on the action too.
Now I mentioned that I am pregnant and hormonal so this Christmas was a little emotional for me. On our way to Granny Sue & Pawpaw John's we heard "Christmas Times A'Coming" on the radio. I started crying because that is one of Pawpaw John's favorite songs to play on the mandolin. He is so talented and I love to hear him play. After things settled down some pickin and grinnin started up. TJ brought his guitar and Pawpaw got out his mandolin. What a great ending to a wonderful Christmas day.
Before we left, HC got her picture made with Granny Sue & Pawpaw John. What a great picture!!!
