I understand that Hannah Claire needs to practice eating in order to eat on her own someday. This is an extremely messy experience. We don't do it as often as we should. We decided to let HC try her hand at a bowl of cereal one night. I gave her the spoon which she is really good at getting into her mouth. However the skill stops there. Once I gave up the bowl of cereal the spoon hit the floor and in she went. I grabbed the camera and just let her have fun. It was bath night, thank goodness. She had lots of fun!

I like a girl who isn't afraid to throw down when it comes to food! She definitely seems more happy with this situation than the one involving the sippy cup that you described. As messy as it looks, I look forward to when Lillian can help herself to a little dinner. :)
even though her hands are messy- her face is still so clean. i am impressed. as you can see on our blog, noah manages to get it EVERYWHERE. it's so much fun to see them learning the same thing at the same time.
