Glucose Test/National Signing Day

Wednesday February 6th started off with a 5:45 am alarm. Brandi had to eat 2 hours before her glucose test. I felt bad for her, since I had heard horror stories of women getting sick while drinking the sugar drink and throwing up. After meeting a different dr & sitting around for an hour, Brandi 'passed' her test. Thank God she doesn't have to go back for the 3 hour test! Hannah Claire's heartrate was normal & everything looks great. We made our appointment for the 4-D ultrasound and headed out. As any good husband would do, I accompanied her to a nearby Jack's so she could get a biscuit. Now to the fun part of the day...National Signing Day had just begun! I started my trip to Anniston by waiting on Marcel Dareus to decide where he was going to college. As most intelligent athletes do, he picked the Crimson Tide! The big wait was about to be over for the #1 WR and one of the top overall HS players in the nation. Foley High star, Julio Jones, picked Alabama to be close to home & play in front of the greatest fans in the world. We had only 1 more player left on our board for the 2008 class, Jerrell Harris. The outstanding LB from Gadsden had his 'final 5' hats on the table. As many expected, he pulled a houndstooth fedora from under the table and chose the Tide! With Jerrell's commitment, Coach Saban pulled off the #1 class in the nation. Kinda makes you wanna sing, 'Yea, Alabama', doesn't it?

GREAT news all around!!! I'm so glad everything went well with the taste. I always hated drinking that stuff!
How about the Tide? Wasn't that awesome?! I am SO excited! You better believe Channing has heard we got the #1 class more times than he can count!!! ROLL TIDE!

Congrats on passing that horrible test! Who ever invented that drink should be forced to drink it 10 times a day!! I am glad we will both have new little Bama fans to cheer for the Tide this year! (good thing we are due before football season)LOL
