Since Alabama was playing in Orlando in the Capital One Bowl, we decided to make a fun little trip of it. Our plan was to head down for the game and hit Disney World the two days before the game (which just happened to be Dec. 30th and 31st, the busiest days at Disney of the year!). Then the unthinkable happened...Nana talked Pappy into going down too! We were pumped! Since they were driving down in the motorhome and stopping along the way to sleep, Hannah Claire left with them. This was her first time riding in the motorhome. She loved it! They say she was a perfect angel the entire way. I'm sure she was, because grandbabies are always perfect for the grandparents, right? Shane & I headed out the next morning and drove the entire way. Wow, what a trek! We arrived that afternoon and met up with Nana & Pappy at the campground. We stayed in a cute little "cottage" across from their campsite.
After getting settled in and some rest for the pregnant woman, we decided to head to Downtown Disney for dinner and a little glimpse of what was in store. Our dinner reservations were not for another hour or so, so we played a little. We did get to see Goofy dressed up like Santa. The line to get your picture made was not that long, but HC was having none of it. This made me a little worried of what was ahead for the next couple of days since we would be seeing lots of characters roaming the parks. After the encounter with Goofy, Nana & HC got their first ride in.
