To say that I have not been hormonal throughout the pregnancy is an understatement. I normally cry on every episode of Extreme Home Makeover, but since I have been pregnant not one tear. That all changed last week. Nothing terrible happened. In fact, we got to hear the heartbeat again and Hannah Claire is doing great! Praise God! I think maybe a combination of the third trimester and the time changing resulted in my craziness for a few days. I cried some all week but it all culminated on Thursday. As I said, nothing terrible happened but it had been one of those weeks where nothing had gone according to plan. On Thursday I got confirmation that our furniture for the nursery (which should have been here two weeks ago) is back ordered and will not be here for another 4-6 weeks. Yes that is correct. We are due in less than 9 weeks, just in case you had not thought about that. The poor lady at the store had to deal with my hysterical crying, then the lady that answered at the phone at the corporate office of the furniture company (I found their number online), then the lady at the local sales reps office. In my defense I was not ugly and did preface that I was hormonal to each lady. They were all very nice but I still have no furniture. They really couldn't do anything about that though. Then the poor UPS guy shows up and rings my doorbell. I am walking through the house so I have to go to the door with my tear-stained face. I felt it necessary to explain to him what I had just found out (I'm not real sure why but I did). He told me stories about his little girl for about 5 minutes to try and cheer me up. He did in fact cheer me up, not only because of his stories, but he also delivered our car seat. The first thing that went smoothly all week long. (Sometimes you have to love mass-production.) I think Shane was concerned about my mental stability but by Friday we were laughing at the drama of Thursday. Hopefully there will be no more mental breakdowns. Well, I'm sure there will be but maybe they will not be very frequent.
