Hannah Claire's Antics

So no pictures this time but some entertaining stories about Miss Hannah Claire.  First off she has a new hobby, she likes to scare us.  Yes, you heard me, she likes to scare us.  Saturday night she and I were in her room.  Shane peeked around the door and roared at her.  She thought it was hysterical and has been scaring us since.  She has more of a yell than a roar and she doesn't really understand the element of surprise.  She gets a run and go and will yell at us.  We all bust out laughing.  It is so stinkin cute!

Today on the way home from Publix Hannah Claire was getting fussy.  You see it was bottle time and we had nothing.  As we turned into the neighborhood I had  a genius idea (I say that because I don't get them often).  I rolled down the window.  HC loved it.  She threw her hands up in the air like she was on a roller coaster and laughed.  No more fussing all the way home!

She has also starting showing off her cat-like reflexes.  When she sees something she wants you better watch out.  Out of nowhere a hand will jet out and grab the item and pull it away.  It happens so fast you will miss it if you blink.  I'm not sure what this is all about.  I mean we don't taunt her with stuff and then jerk it away at the last second.  I promise!

She has also learned from her Daddy to do the wave with her hands.  She will lock her fingers and roll her hands.  This is our go-to in a restaurant.  It works as a great distraction plus it is super cute.

Another Busy Week

I tried to take a picture of HC heading off to school facing forward but the camera lens fogged up.  We finally got to turn the seat around.  The law says 1 year and 20 pounds.  She finally crossed the 20lbs mark so around she went.  She really didn't seem to care one way or the other.  Mommy & Daddy like it because we can see her better now!

Nana, Granny Sue & Pawpaw John came to town for a visit.  It was great to get to spend some time with them.  Hannah Claire showed them her smooth dance skills (which is hard to capture on camera).  Observe how she is standing in the first picture.

Once the music starts she can't control herself, the beat just takes ahold.  She was breaking it down here. :-)

13 Months

On June 9th we continued the tradition of red chair pictures.  This is becoming more and more difficult every month.  It is so hard to get HC to sit still or even do what we want her to do. 

We did get one good/sweet picture.

But she doesn't sit still long.

We correct her and she thinks it is hilarious.  I mean, stern voice and all, she still laughs.  (In all fairness, she either laughs or cries.  Drama Queen!)

Busy Little Girl

Life has been very busy around the Miller household.  So busy, I'm at least a month behind on posting pictures.  Here is an overview of a few weeks ago.  Hannah Claire has outgrown her baby tub and moved to the regular tub.  She loves the room.  This allows her more space to splash.  We usually end up soaked but laughing hysterically.   This was our first night in the big tub.

I just love this picture.  Our sweet baby girl!  

Our sweet baby girl is into everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING!!!  One of her favorites is to go through our bathroom drawers.  You never know what she may bring you, some hair gel, a houndstooth headband, a retainer, you just never know.  This has become her drawer, full of toys and washcloths.  Of course now she has zero interest in this drawer, she only wants the "real" bathroom stuff. 

In our attempt to organize the bathroom for our little busybody I bought some plastic bins.  HC found the perfect use for one of them.  

We have greatly expanded what we eat.  Hannah Claire had some spaghetti one night.  Notice the noodle by her nose.  She was just too cute not to take a picture.

One of HC's games these days is to "get bearcat".  Bearcat is this super soft rug.  Since before HC could walk she would cruise over and then just dive onto bearcat.  Now that she can walk bearcat really takes a beating.  

Even though we haven't been to the lake we are ready!  HC got a lifejacket before she was born so we tried it on.  She didn't mind it too much and she looks pretty sassy too!!!

We normally use towels after a bath but they were all dirty so we used this adorable robe.  

It was super cute, and then she turned around.  Crack Attack!!!

That week our great friend Elizabeth was in town for a wedding shower.  It was so much fun and Hannah Claire adores her.  HC doesn't just let anyone hold her while she drinks her bottle, but she did Elizabeth.  She also spent some quality time in Elizabeth's lap looking at her books.  We can't wait to see Elizabeth again in a few weeks for Melissa's wedding.

Pink Pony

Aunt Janet gave Hannah Claire a ride-on pink pony for her birthday.  She was a little unsure of it at first.  She now LOVES it!  We started out slow with a little slow pushing and built up to a push and let go.  She loves it!  We (well our backs) are looking forward to the day that she figures out how to make it go forward.  You see if she pushes her self she goes backwards.   

Notice that her feet are propped up on the basket.  Well she has decided in the last few days that she should try to climb in the basket and hang out.  Well clearly she doesn't fit in the basket.  It gets pretty ugly because she gets mad that she can't figure out how to fit inside the basket and she sometimes hits the floor trying.  Mommy & Daddy get a pretty good laugh (we know she is not hurt, we are not that mean!). :-)  Thanks Aunt Janet for the great gift!!!

Going for a Swim

For Hannah Claire's birthday, Nana gave her a swimming pool.  A couple of weekends ago we tried it out for the first time.  While we were getting the pool ready HC was chillin in her wagon.  Yes, she does have her leg propped up.

Finally the pool was ready and Daddy put HC in. 

Well, he tried.

Bless her.  The water was too cold!  Just look at that grip she has on her Daddy's shirt.

Yummo!

I forgot this picture in the previous post.  Shane has been wanting some homemade ice cream so that is what he got on Father's Day.  Homemade strawberry, it was yummy!!!  (We are going to have to practice some with the new maker though.)
