22 Months

I just can't believe we are only 2 months away from the big two year mark! Although, she is already acting like a 2 year old. Oh the drama and disobedience we are dealing with. Our big problem has been hitting. Hannah Claire doesn't really care who or what she hits, including herself. Sadly she has taken this out on some of her friends at school. We are working on it so hopefully by 23 months we will have it licked. In the meantime your prayers are much appreciated. She is also big on wearing no shirt. Here she is shirtless and giving her "cheese" face.
We were trying to get a shirt on before bed. You can see what happens when the shirt appears. Off she goes. We try everything to get the kid clothed (as you can see).
Sometimes the silliness works. Although it doesn't make for a happy little girl.
Here are some things Hannah Claire is doing:
*loves climbing on any & everything
*doing makeup with mommy in the morning
*playing with her baby (especially wrapping him up in his blanket when she is not mad at him & then throwing him when she is mad at him)
*playing in the pantry
*saying "hold you" (when she wants you to hold her or hold her hand), "hey baby" (referring to her Yo Baby drinks), "open"
*the kid is obsessed with talking about poo-poo

Is That A Bow?

Hannah Claire has been prissy from day one. She doesn't like anything on her hands, she loves shoes and clothes, she is just all girl. I have not really bothered with the bow thing since she pretty much has had no hair. I know there are all these headband/bow things but I thought why bother. Well, our little priss has finally gotten some hair. I bought her a bow to see how it would go. No since spending a bunch of money on something she will never wear. Or at least not wear right now. I talked it up on the way home from school and got her all excited about the new bow. We gave it a try when we got home. HC went straight to supermodel mode.
I guess that was a modeling pose! Haha! I put the camera up but Hannah Claire was not done posing yet. So I got the camera back out for a few more pictures.
Which you can see made her a very happy girl! She wore this bow for quite a while. I was feeling pretty confident about the bow thing so I purchased 3, or maybe 4, other colors at Cottontails. Since then the kid wants no part of the bow. Unbelievable! She will ask for the bow and once I put it in she yanks it out. I guess that just proves she is 100% girl since we get to change our minds all the time. I'm just ready for her to change it back because they are so cute!

Sickness

We were trucking right along through winter. Then it hit, the dreaded stomach bug. Hannah Claire got sick on a Sunday afternoon. She was so pitiful but she was a trooper. On a positive note from the experience she learned the purpose of the trash can. It's the little things in times like this.
We kept HC home from school on Monday to make sure was completely better. On Monday night around 10 the bug hit Shane. He had a very rough night. At around 1am he asked me for something to drink. As I went back to bed I felt it coming. Sure enough I was at 5 with the little critter myself. Tuesday made for a very interesting day. HC woke up with a little fever so she couldn't go back to school. The three of us laid around sick and weak all day. Thanks to our sweet friend Emily who left 7 UP, Ginger Ale, pretzels and jello at our front door. Wednesday we returned to the land of the living. It is tough when entire house is down at the same time.

Life was back to normal until the following Friday when I got the call from school that HC had a fever. I picked her up but she was fine when I got her home. Weird, but okay. Just before bed that night her fever spiked again. She had a fever the entire weekend but no other symptoms. She was happy, playing, eating fine. On Monday we went ahead and took her to the doctor. We were thinking nothing major. We were WRONG! She had the flu and bronchitis. Thankfully she is 100% and we are praying for no more sickness. We have had enough!

You Just Never Know

These days you never know what you may find when you round the corner at our house. Hannah Claire is into everything. For example, her box of toys in Mommy & Daddy's room.
We have lots of fun. She really does have an amazing personality with a huge sense of humor.
Who doesn't love a little ride on the stick-elephant before bed. Did I mention that HC is really getting into the naked thing. She prefers no clothing if possible, especially her shirt. Go figure.
Nana gave Hannah Claire some sunglasses. This brought on a strong interest in Mommy's sunglasses. She thinks she is soooo cool, which she is.
There really are no words for this picture. It is officially my favorite picture! She loves my headbands that I wear to the gym and gets into them often. She really is the coolest kid. You have to be to pull off this look, right?

Bama Basketball

The Millers made a trek to Tuscaloosa to take in a Bama basketball game against Arkansas. Hannah Claire went to a game last year but it was past her bedtime and she was really not into it. This year was a much different story. This kid had a blast! She provided some entertainment to the folks around us, including Mrs. Grant (the head coach's wife in the corner of the picture). Although she has a high pitched squeal that HC was not so sure about and would stare her down everytime she yelled. I tried to smooth things over, we would like for them to stay a while.
Hannah Claire loved the timeouts. She has always had a thing for the band so when they would play and the cheerleaders & dancers would dance she went nuts laughing and dancing in my lap.
Occasionally the crowd would get a little loud for HC. She would laugh at herself when she put her fingers in her ears.
Daddy and Hannah Claire celebrating a Bama win!
Afterwards HC ran around in the lobby to get out some pent up energy.
We also played peak-a-boo around some columns.
Afterwards we met up with some great friends the Smith/Morris family for some yummy dinner before heading home. Somehow I didn't take a single picture. HC did get an open mouthed kiss from Evan. Her Daddy was not very happy. I guess its a good thing he lives in Texas!

Snow Day 2010

Wow we have been super busy lately. We really haven't had time to catch our breath. I loaded the pictures from the camera tonight and realized it has been a while since I updated the blog. There is so much to catch up on starting with the snow day of 2010. We had a blast! Hannah Claire got it this year. Well, she at least got that it was different and fun. She enjoyed watching it. She kept asking to go outside.
Once we got all bundled up we headed out to play. Hannah Claire was unsure about her "gloves" (we couldn't find her mittens so we used socks).
She helped Daddy build the snowman.
We got lots of snow fast. HC was not so sure about walking in it. Well, maybe it was the huge scarf we had wrapped around her too.
We waited until Hannah Claire was ready to head inside before we tried to get a family picture (our mistake). We did finally get one pretty good one.

21 Months

Hannah Claire hit 21 months on February 9th. She also found an attitude. She has really started pushing the limits. She has completely mastered the art of the tantrum, laying on the floor flailing around and screaming at the top of her lungs. We are learning and growing as parents everyday. Prayers are appreciated. :) Hannah Claire has also developed quite the personality. She is very loving, talkative and funny. This kid can make me laugh all the time (just like her daddy).
I love this picture because you can see her dimple. She has had it since she was born but you can't always see it. I think it is absolutely adorable.
She has her Daddy's phone. She loves to walk around with it up to her ear and jabber away. Who knows what she is saying. However when she actually gets someone on the other line she grins and nods her head instead of talking.
